Cowboy Steak House in Kerrville

I would have given a five but my steak was so spicy my husband had to eat it. Having said that I want to say how wonderful the staff and owner was. They were delightful. The salad was amazing as was the potato skins. Although I would not consider those appetizers. They are a meal into themselves. Soooo good. The Texas toast was delicious as well. One funny thing that I really enjoyed was the orange slice on the plate. The best orange I have had in a long time. I had some of my husbands steak and it was tender and juicy. We will definitely be back. We were too full to have dessert but it all looked good.

We stay in Kerrville 2-3 weeks per year. Cowboy Steakhouse is on our must dine list. Locally owed it has a small town flavor but delivers a quality product. Highly recommended. Try 1/2 price wine night every Wednesday.

I like their steaks! Folks are friendly and patient. Good parking and well lit. Prices are okay too.

It was Bad no Ribbs and no lobster the food was over cooked it was no good

Customer service was ok. Steaks were not as good as our first visit. Overall, food quality was disappointing.

Love this steak house. We have celebrated our wedding anniversary dinner at the Cowboy Steak House for the past ten years and we celebrated 46th anniversary today. Excellent service, great food and friendly people. See ya next year!!

Good experience. Really tasty Ribeye, sweet potato was delicious (like dessert). The garlic vinaigrette salad dressing was also delicious, but it drowned the salad a bit. I'll be a return customer for sure!

Excellent! My husband and I took his parents there tonight to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary. The host that greeted us was so sweet, the gentlemen that brought us our drinks was a gentleman, our waitress Regina was amazing. Our food was perfect! It was the first time I've ever eaten a steak without A1. The chef did an excellent job! Hats off to all of them.

Got a super kicker last night and it was cooked perfect with the soup which never fails to be great. Dessert was peach bread pudding with some tasty sauce. Would recommend to try it.

We where in town to visit daughter at Schreiner University. It was by chance we went to the cowboy steak house. Wife had the ribs where was so tender they fell off the phone. They allowed the steak on the combo to be changed to ribeye. The ribeye was tender and cook just right.

Food and service was amazing...will be going back soon. Very nice people and great environment.

The food was delicious and the service was good.The place is old and feels dark. The furnishings in the entrance looks old and dingy.

Best steaks ever even carried out and still hot 🔥 when i arrived at my hotel was highly recommended by the people at the Laquinta hotel. Now I know why excellent service and excellent food thank you

Myself, My Husband, and our son ate here last night for the first time. The service, the food, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. Our waitress, I believe her name was Laura, I apologize if that is incorrect but she was amazing! She had a great air about her, she was funny, welcoming, and never steered us wrong with any of her suggestions. I appreciate this experience so much. We will be back regularly!

My first time and I was amazed!!! Not only did the resteraunt mgr greet us, he provided a tour of the restaurant to give us a view of how unique this place really is! Looks like a nice lounge there as well!! So the restaurant has a nice warm, cozy feeling to it. SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Great wine selection and the steaks were REALLY prepared well!! But save room for their dessert... I had their chocolate cake with fudge!!

Service was excellent. Food not cooked how requested. And yes the server tryed to make it right.. We also had dessert and the carrot cake was the best carrot cake I've ever had..

My dad and I came here for the first time and the overall experience was wonderful! We were seated right away, acknowledged by the waitress and quickly gave our order. We both had prime rib and it definitely hit the spot! The portions were generous and the options plentiful. I would definitely recommend this establishment to everyone. Will definitely be back!!

The food was amazing, best ribery I've ever had. The atmosphere is western, very relaxed. Margaritas were great. Only problem I had was the service, in my opinion it could have been better.

Because the people greet you like they're really glad to have you and they tend to your order and to your needs quickly and happily. The food is delicious.

This place is delicious! I also came right before they closed and I thought it wasn't gonna be fresh but everything was fresh and hot ! I loved it! The staff was very nice and gave great recommendations.

Ate here with a large group. Great staff with an excellent server. I had the prime rib special and it was delicious. Huge wine selection. You can get traditional steak house food like chicken fried steak as well. Worth a visit.

I had the gumbo soup. This was to die for. It was so fantastic. Main course I had was the steak and grilled shrimp. I have not had a steak like that since Wyoming. The whole meal was so great. I cant wait for my husband and I to go back.

We arrived shortly after 5pm and they were BUSY! Service was great, kind and attentive. The steaks were out of this world good, everything we had from the potato skins, salad and sides I would recommend! This place is a GEM, true Texas hospitality and incredible food!

The service was good, the steaks not even close to what you'd expect from a place named Cowboy Steakhouse. I ordered the Ribeye medium. It was thin, overcooked and tough. The baked potato was a little under cooked. We did have a wonderful bottle of Cabernet 1995 and the equation leg appetizer was very good. But I'd never go back and order a steak.

From the moment I walked into the door, I had the best service. Brandon was a great server and was on top of his game. I would highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops and ribeye and then carrot cake for dessert. Of course, don't take my word for it....I have pictures and you can choose another dessert.

The food was great! I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was good. It was nice to see that's many people knew each other. The manager or owner gave us a nickel tour of the place. - My only issue was that I did not receive the sweet potato fries that we're supposed to come with my meal. I told the lady about it and she seemed to think I was messing with her. She didn't offer any discount or to give me some fries to go or anything. It was just a little unsettling.

Came in from out of town and decided to try. As we walked in, we were greeted, brought to our table and had water already on the table.The weight staff was outstanding and food was delicious. I will definitely come back.
